| Welcome to the website of the IQ-Net Conference Strategic Planning for Structural Funds Programmes in 2007-2013 which took place in Glasgow on 27-28 June 2006.
On this website, you can find all the necessary information regarding the Conference – programme, speakers, participants and registration information – and download the Conference briefing paper prepared by EPRC. The aim of the Conference was to take stock of how different countries and regions are preparing the next generation of Structural Funds programmes with respect to their strategic objectives and priorities, as well as future management and delivery arrangements. The Conference involved senior officials from EU-25 Member States, Romania and Bulgaria, as well as European institutions. Mr Graham Meadows, Director-General of DG Regio was a Keynote Speaker. The Conference was organised by the European Policies Research Centre, in association with Strathclyde European Partnership, to mark the tenth anniversary of the IQ-Net network. IQ-Net (Improving the Quality of Programme Management Through Exchange of Experience) brings together programme management authorities and secretariats from 13 Member States and is managed by the European Policies Research Centre at the University of Strathclyde. The conference was sponsored by Strathclyde European Partnership, The Department of Trade and Industry, The Scottish Executive, Highland & Islands Enterprise, West of Scotland European Consortium and Glasgow City Council. EPRC gratefully acknowledges the support of these organisations in making the conference possible. Professor John Bachtler
