IQ-Net Conferences
Study Tour, IQ-Net Conference Steiermark Oct 2003

The IQ-Net programme of applied research and debate is centred on a bi-annual conference for network members. Papers are prepared by EPRC as the basis for discussion at each meeting, bringing together comparative experience from across the EU. These include regular updates of progress with the programmes and in-depth reports on specific themes (e.g. the mid-term evaluations of the 2000-06 programmes; mainstreaming the horizontal priorities; facilitating the information society; programme design).

The most recent meeting of the network took place in December 2011 in Aachen (Germany), hosted by the Ministry for Economy, Energy, Construction, Housing and Transport of the Land Nordrhein-Westfalen. The meeting provided an opportunity to discuss the new Structural Funds regulations and preparations in partner regions and countries for the next period, as well as assessing progress of the 2007-13 programmes. There was also a focus on partners' experiences with the use of financial engineering instruments within their Structural Funds programmes. The next meeting of the network (the 32nd) will take place on 18-20 June 2012 in Tampere (Finland).
